 In the Name of God Dear Colleagues, I am delighted to inform all members of the Center of Excellence for High Strength Alloys Technology (CEHSAT) at Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) as well as industrial collaborating organizations involved in the projects at our center that CEHSAT has started a new career. Research activities conducted by members of the center began in year 2000 under the heading, Center of Excellence for Advanced Materials and Processing (CEAMP). Throughout the past ten years, our center has carried out many successful research projects. CEHSAT has been established with respect to the necessity for research and the use of new technologies in the creation and development of high strength metallic alloys, as well as the experience, research and scientific potential that exists in the School of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. CEHSAT has focused on the fundamental and also applicable research activities in the fields related to aerospace, energy, oil, and transportation. Our center of excellence has concentrated on applicable projects to solve scientific and technological problems, and enhance international collaborations. Such projects can be successfully completed if they are conducted as national projects by a group of researchers. We hope that CEHSAT can achieve its main goals in the creation of science, contribution to knowledge, and development of new technologies in the production of high strength alloys.
